Charlie Cox is looking forward to seeing the relationship between Daredevil and Iron Fist develop in The Defenders!

After appearing in two seasons of Marvel's Daredevil as the titular superhero in two consecutive years, Charlie Cox is set to team up with three other superheroes next year in Marvel's The Defenders.

While we, the fans, are looking forward to seeing the superheroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Netflix portion interact with each other and work together for the first time, the actor is licking his lips over seeing the relationship between two specific characters develop.

While speaking at a Toronto Fan Expo panel last Sunday (via Comic Book Movie), Cox revealed that he is personally curious about how the relationship between his Daredevil and Finn Jones' Iron Fist will thrive in The Defenders. He says:

The relationship I’m most interested in seeing fleshed out is the Matt Murdock and Danny Rand stuff. I just met Finn Jones the other day, and I just think in the comics, that’s a great relationship so I want to see how that works out on screen.

The actor actually shared this when he was asked about how his character and Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones get along in The Defenders - a question that seems more legitimate at this point, considering the fact that we have only seen these two characters' stories being explored.

We have seen Mike Colter's Luke Cage a bit in Marvel's Jessica Jones and are waiting for his standalone series that arrives later this month. We won't get the first season of Marvel's Iron Fist until next year. So, at this point, we don't know Finn Jones' character that well. You can check out the entire Q&A panel below!

Charlie Cox also attended a panel at Atlanta's Dragon Con (via Daily Dragon). There, a fan asked why his character doesn't have red hair like the Matt Murdock of comic books. The 33-year-old actor responded:

We tried. It looked really weird.

During the interview, Cox claims that his character puts on the red costume with a belief that he is "gonna go out and make a difference". According to him, the suit changes Murdock – even his speech. It makes his voice "more aggressive with interesting, short, sharp sentences".

Cox reveals that he was cautioned about the change in speech by the show's producers at the initial stage. They told him that he was "starting to sound like Batman"! However, the actor was quick to figure out that there aren't "that many ways to sound threatening"!
