Since last October when the title for the thirteenth installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was officially announced as Captain America: Civil War, we've been speculating on how the two superhero teams for the movie will look like. Over the period of time, we've talked a lot about the possible allegiances - tried to sketch out who would join Team Captain America and who would join Team Iron Man.

Well, some of our predictions have been right on the money while some others have misfired! We can say that because the two teams for Civil War have been officially confirmed! Marvel Studios hasn't made any official announcement, but what they have done is that they have released three promo arts for the third installment of the Captain America franchise which are clear enough to reveal on whose side, the superheroes are in the movie!

The three recently launched promo arts confirm the sides of nine superheroes - five of them have joined Team Captain America and the remaining four have joined Team Iron Man. However, there are a few superheroes that are yet to pick a side. We'll discuss about all that in this article.

Members Of Team Captain America

The above image (via ComicBookMovie) is one of the three recently launched promo arts for Captain America: Civil War. This one reveals the characters that will stand alongside Steve Rogers in the movie. Let's have a detailed look at the team.

Hawkeye

We knew this one very well, didn't we? Hawkeye cast Jeremy Renner was found wearing a cap with the text "˜Team Captain America' embroidered on it. Then, few days back, he confirmed that he is indeed in Steve Rogers' side in next year's most highly anticipated MCU flick.

Falcon

We could assume this one from Day 1! Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson, aka Falcon, is a buddy of Steve Rogers. It would have been shocking to see him stand alongside Tony Stark. Nothing that shocking is going to happen in Civil War, he is doubtlessly a member of Team Captain America.

Ant-Man

We had predicted with the help of logical analysis that Ant-Man will stand alongside Team Captain America and that's what has happened! Scott Lang, being a student of Hank Pym, was unlikely to stand in favor of the Superhero Registration Act. And in Civil War, he won't - he will stand against it!

Winter Soldier

Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes, aka Winter Soldier, was the lead antagonist in the second installment of Captain America franchise. But now, it seems like Bucky finally remembers the friendship he and Steve Rogers used to share until World War 2, as we get to see him stand as a member of Team Captain America. We weren't very unsure about this one, were we?

Sharon Carter

We didn't talk much about her previously, did we? We knew Emily VanCamp's Sharon Carter, aka Agent 13, is in the 2016 MCU flick but since she isn't a superhero, we didn't assume that she might have a very important role in the movie. However, the promo arts seem to suggest that she has some role of prominence in Civil War. And her side in the movie - that's what anyone would have assumed surely!

Members Of Team Iron Man

The above promo art reveals the members of Team Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War. Well, they are one in short in number than the team of Steve Rogers but there are superheroes whose sides haven't been confirmed - so the number may be get balanced in future. Let's have a detailed look at this team.

War Machine

If you could predict that Sam Wilson will stand alongside Steve Rogers in Civil War, we must not have had doubts about the side in which Don Cheadle's James Rhodes, aka War Machine, will stand! Rhodey and Tony Stark are close pals and it was very unlikely that their bond will be affected in Civil War. Nothing unlikely has happened in this case - War Machine is indeed a member of Team Iron Man.

Black Widow

Until recent times, we were pretty sure that Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, would have joined Team Captain America, since the only friend she's got - Hawkeye - was likely to join that side. But during Disney's D23 Expo, the first footage of Captain America: Civil War was screened and we've heard about a fight scene between Hawkeye and Black Widow that featured in it. And since Renner had confirmed that his character is a member of Cap's team, we could easily predict then that Johansson's character will be standing alongside Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man.

Black Panther

Rumors and predictions haven't faltered in case of Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa, aka Black Panther. He is a member of Team Iron Man. Winter Soldier killed his father King T'Chaka of Wakanda - so, how the two stand in one side during Civil War?

Vision

Paul Bettany's Vision is basically an upgraded J.A.R.V.I.S. - the home computing system of Tony Stark. That made us assume he will stand as a member of Team Iron Man in Civil War. But we had to keep it mind that Vision has his own VISION - that was made clear in Avengers: Age of Ultron. But the promo arts confirm that he isn't going fight against Stark - rather he is going to stand alongside him.

The Ones Who Are Yet To Pick A Side

As mentioned before, the promo arts haven't confirmed the sides of all the Avengers - there is mystery circling some yet. Let's have a look at those characters.

Spider-Man

Tom Holland's Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, is a new character in the MCU - Civil War is meant to just introduce him. We shouldn't expect more than a cameo from this superhero, but from what we have heard, it seems like he will stand on Iron Man's side - however, don't forget that many things that we hear and assume turn out to be wide of the mark!

Scarlet Witch

She isn't playing a cameo like Spidey in Civil War - we've seen set photos of Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch, in action. Since she was a member of the new Avengers team formed by Captain America and Black Widow at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron and for the fact that she holds Tony Stark responsible for the death of her parents, we assumed that she will be a member of Cap's team. But we will have to wait for a confirmation before making a wild guess.

Hulk

And we need a confirmation on whether Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner, aka Hulk, is appearing in Civil War. Prevailing rumors do suggest that he will make an appearance in the movie, and if he does, on whose side will he stand is a question that needs to be answered as well. Our guess, Team Iron Man - Tony's got the potential to manipulate him and we've seen that happen twice in Age of Ultron! Plus, where is Black Widow standing? After watching the second installment of Avengers, you wouldn't consider that a negligible factor, will you?
