Black Widow Production Commences In Norway; Scarlett Johansson Spotted!

It definitely seems like cameras have begun to roll on the first standalone movie for Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow.

Black Widow was originally planning to kick off its production in February, but it was pushed back to June as Jac Schaeffer's script was getting a rewrite from Ned Benson. But earlier this month, we heard through the grapevine that the movie had already begun filming in Black Park, which is located near the UK's Pinewood Studios where director Cate Shortland and her team are expected to carry out most of the filming.

But it wasn't June already, and there were no set photos - so, we had to take that with a grain of salt. It isn't June yet, but we now have photographic evidence of the production having commenced in Ørsta, Norway. In a couple of these photos, we see Johansson inside a car, while another shows the label Blue Bayou on the exterior of a bus that belongs to the VIP transport service Trips of Norway. In case you didn't know, Blue Bayou is the working title for Black Widow.

According to Norwegian news outlet Sunnmørsposten, Johansson (or someone who bears a striking resemblance with her) arrived in Vigra on a private plane on Tuesday afternoon, before heading to Sagafjord Hotel in Sæbø. The trade has learned from its sources that filming will take place in the area, starting Wednesday. You can check out the photos below!

UPDATE: A bunch of set photos and a set video have arrived. Check them out below!

Apart from Scarlett Johansson, the cast roster of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe entry includes Florence Pugh (Fighting with My Family), Rachel Weisz (The Mummy), O.T. Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale) and David Harbour (Stranger Things). Marvel Studios has been keeping mum about the project, but is expected to be a little more indiscreet about it later in July at San Diego Comic-Con International.
