Black Panther

Chadwick Boseman made his first appearance as Black Panther in this year’s Captain America: Civil War. We’ll be seeing plenty more of him in MCU projects to come, but for now we’ll have to settle for a video released by Cinesite detailing the CGI process of creating the Black Panther we saw on screen.

Just about three minutes in length, the video walks viewers through the CGI layering, from green screen to final product, in several Civil War scenes. Take a look below:

It’s definitely interesting to get a look behind the scenes of the MCU. Though it’s to be expected that scenery for the film was created with CGI, it’s surprising that even the Black Panther suit was spruced up with more detail and effects in post-production.

Captain America: Civil War was released on DVD and Blu-ray on September 13. A Black Panther solo film is in the works and is scheduled to hit theaters on February 16, 2018.

What do you think of the visual effects video? Are you surprised at how much CGI went into Boseman’s Panther?
