Avengers: Kevin Feige Teases the Defenders

Set to be the biggest movie of the MCU, The Infinity War will finally reveal the Mad Titan's endgame. Almost all of the superheroes of the shared universe will be there to face him and try to stop him - and, obviously, they will fail. As we all know, only the fourth Avengers movie will bring the defeat of Thanos.

During an interview with IGN, Kevin Feige once again addressed why the fourth Avengers movie won't be called Infinity War Part 2, as it was initially announced. According to Feige, while there is a connection between them, the two films will stand apart as far as their storylines are concerned:

It’s a whole movie and a whole story, and then a whole movie and a whole story. That’s about all I can say. It’s certainly inspired by everything that has come before and everything that is hinted at before.

Furthermore, the Marvel boss also said that, initially, the heroes will try to defeat Thanos without being united. And, maybe, this is why the fourth Avengers flick will be called something else:

We will be intercutting a lot of stories in that movie in a lot of different locales, as it sort of is in the Avengers movies as well; who is facing off against who. In this movie, it’s going to be fun to mix that up. One of the things that’s great about the Infinity Gauntlet is everybody tried to go up against Thanos, whether they were god-like powers or not, because that’s what Avengers do. The fun about those two movies that we’re doing essentially at the same time is everybody’s there.

It may seem pretty weird to hear that - didn't the heroes learn that they needed to assemble in order to defeat some threats? Feige could talk about different groups of superheroes - maybe the Avengers will have a go at Thanos, then the Guardians of the Galaxy, and then"¦

Obviously, the next question is this: Will the Defenders join the fight? Kevin Feige, obviously, didn't reveal anything. However, his short answer may be seen as a confirmation. So what did he say? “Spoilers.”
