Aquaman – The Conjuring 2 writer joins the production

We haven't heard much about Aquaman lately but here's the latest news on the movie focused on the King of the Seven Seas. It seems that the production welcomes on board a third screenwriter. If we refer to him as the Wrath of the Titans writer, we might get a bad feeling. But let's keep a positive attitude towards this upcoming superhero flick.

So THR announced exclusively that David Leslie Johnson (Wrath of the Titans, The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist) is going to be the third writer for James Wan's Aquaman film  alongside Will Beall (Gangster Squad) and Kurt Johnstad (300).

Now everyone wonders why would James Wan bring Johnson in the scheme? Is Wan not satisfied with the two versions written by Will Beall and Kurt Johnstad or he just wants a third version of the script? Regarding that Wan has worked with Johnson on The Conjuring 2, I guess he just needs assistance from a writer he knows and previously worked with.

Hoping that the outcome of this less typical superhero movie will be as expected, we should remember that Johnson has directed a pair of episodes of The Walking Dead, and if Warner Bros. hired him for assistance, and not because the other two script versions were not satisfying, they must have a strategy to do the best of this production.  Warner didn't make any comment yet.

Jason Momoa is confident about how Aquaman movie will evolve

It's not an official synopsis but this is how the movie's story goes:

"Aquaman is the King of the Seven Seas. This reluctant ruler of Atlantis, caught between a surface world constantly ravaging the sea and Atlanteans looking to lash out in revolt, is committed to protecting the entire globe."

King of the Seven Seas, Aquaman will be portrayed by Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) who had a response to the jokes around the underwater superhero:

"You know, it's cute and funny, I mean people make fun of him and there's a bunch of jokes about him. But I'm like "˜Well"¦ just wait. Let's just wait a little bit. And then we can make jokes"¦‘"

The first image of Momoa as Aquaman put some jokes to rest, and judging by its appearance the movie will be anything else but a joke. Equipped with the trident, sport armor and covered in tattoos, the hero resembles a Polynesian Aquaman. He is also wearing a logo every superhero must have, but it might go unnoticed. Anyway, you can see an A attached to his belt, from Arthur Curry.

What do you think about this upcoming movie adaptation of Aquaman?
