Wonder Woman Director Explains Credits

Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman was one of this year’s biggest surprises, especially after the previous DCEU movies. It was a beautiful film, and every detail counted. As a testament to that, even the credits are impressive, and can be termed a  work of art that convinced a good number of fans to remain in the theater, despite the absence of an actual credits scene.

In case you didn't wait for the credits, Art of the Title officially released them online today!

Before you revisit the credits, you can read Patty Jenkins’ explanation of why they mattered so much. In a way, while the movie presented Diana Prince’s story, the credits revealed the Wonder Woman myth.

The title sequence almost became the end of the movie in a beautiful way. You're right at a moment when you wish you had more and it becomes more. It carries forward the story in a way. What the final moment of the film is best at is saying, “Now there's Wonder Woman, now Wonder Woman is born.”

The movie is the journey all the way to Wonder Woman, and it's only at that final moment that she steps into the world and becomes our Wonder Woman. And so, having that kind of comic book-style recap of the myth of Wonder Woman "” you just saw the story, but this is the myth of who she is "” it felt like a really great way to be like, "Now she's this and this is her backstory!" (via CBM)

You can also check out the equally impressive history of the Amazons as heard by young Diana Prince. As all history is, it was told from one perspective, and it could change as the DC Extended Universe continues to unfold.

But it’s still impressive!
