Tom Holland Wants to Team Up with Paul Rudd

Although we’re nearly two weeks away from Spider-Man: Homecoming’s release, we actually know a thing or two about its sequel. First and foremost, the Homecoming follow-up will be the first movie to follow the fourth Avengers film. This means that we'll see another Spider-Man solo adventure on the 5th of July 2019 (if the announced schedule remains intact). Second, Peter Parker's mentor Tony Stark won't be for there him in the sequel.

And this is fairly understandable, especially after Kevin Feige’s recent tease that major changes were coming for the Marvel Cinematic Universe superheroes, starting with Infinity War.

Spider-Man and Iron Man (Marvel)

Tony Stark may not be around, but The Hollywood Reporter announced that another Marvel superhero will team up with the web-crawler. Of course, we don't know yet who that hero will be, as Marvel and Sony are still working on making that selection.

Tom Holland told Screen Rant that he already has a favorite superhero in mind with whom Spider-Man could join forces. He then revealed that that superhero was none other than Paul Rudd's Ant-Man:

Ant-Man would be my favorite. I want to have like a bug bros session. I think it'd be really cool.

And it would be cool! The two characters met up during Captain America: Civil War, in which Spider-Man helped defeat a then-enormous Scott Lang. In our opinion, that was the movie’s best scene.

The epic Civil War fight has prompted numerous fans to agree that, with the two actors’ comedic talent, a team-up movie would be amazing!

Maybe they’ll share some screen time in the upcoming Infinity War. We’re hoping that the studios will decide that Ant-Man is the best choice to join Spider-Man.
