The Defenders – Jessica Jones and Misty Knight Are No Allies in the Newest Set Photos!

New photos from the set of Marvel's The Defenders have surfaced on web!

We recently came across a photo from the set of Marvel's The Defenders that made it clear to us that the series has already moved to production. Now, thanks to Coming Soon, we have even more photos snapped from the show's New York set.

But, unlike the first set photo, we don't have just Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, but also Simone Missick as Misty Knight. They were most probably shooting the scene where the two characters meet for the first time. While we may have been expecting the two badass female characters to work together to fight the baddies in The Defenders, their first encounter doesn't seem to be friendly, at all.

In the photos, the two are standing face to face, and Misty Knight has her gun pointed at Jessica Jones. For some reason, Ritter's character isn't treating Missick's character with the same aggression, as she has her hands raised.

More interestingly, there appears to be some blood on Jessica's face, which clearly indicates that she must have been caught up in a nasty fight prior to this scene. Who hit her? We have no idea! But since Misty doesn't seem to have any wounds on her face, and Jessica has superhuman strength, it’s safe to assume that the two didn't exchange blows. Check out some of the set photos below!

Marvel recently released a motion poster announcing the return of Misty Knight and Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page in The Defenders. Now, they have dropped another one that confirms Elden Henson's Foggy Nelson, Eka Darville's Malcolm Ducasse and Carrie-Anne Moss' Jeri Hogarth for the crossover miniseries.

While Henson and Darville had previously revealed that they would appear in The Defenders, it’s the first time we have had Jeri's return confirmed. But we were assuming that she would appear in the show, since she was a significant supporting character in Jessica Jones Season 1 and we saw Foggy landing a job at her law firm toward the end of Daredevil Season 2.
