Suicide Squad is set to arrive in theaters August 5th, 2016. With a bunch of Hollywood A-listers on board to star in Ayer's upcoming flick, the cast is yet to be completed. Jared Leto will bring The Joker on the screen, Will Smith will play Deadshot and Cara Delevingne will portray Enchantress.

Margot Robbie is confirmed for Harley Quinn, as well as Jai Courtney is for Boomerang. On top of that, rumor has it Viola Davis is cast as Amanda Waller and that Jesse Eisenberg will reprise his role as Lex Luthor (after his appearance in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, set to be released March 25th, 2016).

As Tom Hardy is no longer a possibility for Rick Flag, the word goes Ayer envisages Joel Edgerton and Jon Bernthal for this role in Suicide Squad. Ayer and Bernthal worked together before on Fury (released in 2014). A further collaboration is not excluded, so the likelihood of Bernthal to be cast as Rick Flag is considerable.

Joel Edgerton's name popped out, being reportedly shortlisted by Ayer for the same part in Suicide Squad.
