Spider-Man In Civil War – SPOILERS On Iron Spider Armor!

Spider-Man

Tom Holland's schoolboy Spider-Man is waiting to be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with next year's highly anticipated flick Captain America: Civil War. Holland is going to be the third different face for Peter Parker on big-screen in less than a decade and a half. But for the fact that this is our beloved MCU's version of the web-slinger and that he is set to share screen with his fellow superheroes from Marvel Comics, we are so damn excited about this version!

From all that we've heard till date, it looked like Holland's Spider-Man will be equipped with Iron Spider Armor by virtue of none other than our favorite Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. And that's nothing new when you stare at the comic books.

In Amazing Spider-Man #529, it is this tech tycoon who builds Spidey a suit which incorporates Stark Industry's Iron Man technology. The web-slinger uses the suit until he moves from Team Iron Man to Team Captain America in Civil War.

Iron Spider Armor – you won’t see it in Civil War?

But, now there's a recently popped-up rumor that suggests that like many other elements from the comic book storyline, MCU is going to swerve, at least to a certain extent, in case of Spidey's suit! According to the rumor, Holland's Spider-Man won't be equipped with Iron Spider Armor in the third installment of Captain America franchise!

Hit 2 to have a detailed look at the rumor! And don't forget that there's a bunch of hot new words from Andrew Garfield that will follow!

How Does Tony Stark Help Spider-Man Then?

Spider Man and Iron Man

How will Iron Man help Spidey in MCU?

Latino-Review claim that they have been told about that Iron Spider Armor will not be used in Captain America: Civil War. But that doesn't mean Tony Stark isn't going to help Holland's character in the movie. Stark will actually craft something else for Peter Parker - he will create the web shooters!

According to the report, Parker will be introduced as a hero working with only those stuffs that a teenager has access to. But it is Robert Downey Jr.'s character that has the capability of making suits for him which are more "˜hero ready'.

Spider-Man face to face with Iron Man

Will they stand face-to-face in Civil War or side-to-side?

The report doesn't offer us any indication of which side Spider-Man will pick for himself in Civil War - they haven't been told that! With nine characters already having picked their side, Spidey's stance in the upcoming MCU venture remains blurred - just like that of Scarlet Witch and Hulk.

It seems as though he will start up in Team Iron Man. Will he swap from Tony's side to that of Rogers? Or will he stay? That's yet to be confirmed! Meanwhile, catch up what The Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield shared in a number of recent interviews - and be sure that he hasn't been less frank about things!

Hit 3 to check out why he thinks he was never the web-slinger!

Amazing Spider-Man Was NEVER Spider-Man!

Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man

Andrew Garfield – I was never Spider-Man!

In a recent interview with Zakis Corner, the web-slinger of Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man film series - Andrew Garfield – was asked to share what he learned from being the superhero. In response to the question, Garfield uttered the word "˜nothing' and went on to say that he didn't learn because he was "˜NEVER' the web-slinger! He added:

"Because Spider-Man’s a fictional character. He’s not real. [laughs] You know what’s funny, to give you the vulnerable answer, I thought I was going to be Spider-Man, you know? I went into it going…ego shit came in. It’s like, “Okay, here it is. I’m f**king Spider-Man. I f**king made it.” All that shit. [laughs] I didn’t actually make it. I was never Spider-Man.

Garfield relates his struggle with that of Spider-Man!

The American-English actor further explained that he was the actor that he is while he was playing the titular role in the Amazing Spider-Man movies. He was struggling with his efforts to match up with something that he had placed in such a height in his mind that it was beyond his reach. Garfield further added:

"The great thing is, that’s what Peter Parker was doing as well. Peter Parker created this symbol that he couldn’t live up to. It was never enough. He never felt enough, and I never felt enough. I never felt like I was able to do enough. And I couldn’t rescue those films…even though I didn’t sleep. [laughs]

The 32-year-old actor further went on to say that he couldn't make his set of superhero movies as "˜deep', "˜soulful' and "˜life-giving' as he could ever dream.

And that's not all - he's compared making Spidey movies for Sony with "˜canning Coke'! Hit 4!

Making Spidey Flicks Was Like Canning Coke!

The Amazing Spider-Man

Sony responsible for the failure of The Amazing Spider-Man series!

In another recent interview with The Playlist, Andrew Garfield talked about what went wrong with his set of Spider-Man movies. According to the actor, it was the Sony's intentions to "˜to get it right, to please everyone' that generated immense pressure and ultimately proved to be a setback for the movies. He thinks that such a policy of trying impress different demographics - from '50-year old white men' to "˜gay teenagers' to "˜bigot homophobes in Middle America' to '11 year-old girls' - would either end up "˜pleasing no one, or everyone just a little bit'. Garfield added:

"That's canning Coke. So that aspect of it was a bummer.

Seeing that this movie made Sony deal with Marvel, it isn't so disappointing

Executing Sony’s plans seems like prison to Garfield!

The actor further added that he understands the studio's intent to earn big money from the movies since they spend a handsome amount for them. But he claims that he "˜can't live that way' and it seems "˜like a prison' to him.

In another recent interview, this time with Uproxx, Andrew Garfield claimed that he had been "˜petitioning to hook up with Marvel since the beginning' and he is very delighted that it has finally happened. The actor also shared about what would have happened in The Amazing Spider-Man 3 - the movie that was cancelled following the Marvel-Sony deal. Alex Kurtzman - the one who has written script for the second installment of Garfield's Spidey series along with a couple of movies from each of Star Trek and Transformers film series – was appointed to write the script and he and the actor were about to sit together. The actor stated:

"We thought to kind of start from the base level, the foundational level of where have we left Peter and where do we want to see him go and what's logical. And how do we build upon where we left off with this deep, desperate moment with Gwen? So, yeah, we got to some pretty heavy places and I was really excited to kind of explore it and be involved on the ground level like that.

Spider-Man in Civil War: just a cameo

Garfield as excited as we are about Marvel’s Spider-Man!

However, Garfield isn't very disappointed that it didn't happen and is still as excited as we are about Marvel's Spider-Man flick starring Tom Holland.
