Spider-Gwen - The News that Wasn't

Obviously, everybody knows now that Sony has scratched all their plans for taking off the ground a Spider-Man shared universe. And it's not that bad an idea, considering the quality of the most recent films and the fact that Marvel will be in charge (sort of) of the Spider-Man movies from now on.

So where does this Spider-Gwen thingy come from? Well, literally from nowhere. It has happened, in the comics, so why wouldn't it happen in the movies?

Spider-Gwen - the funny interview

While promoting their movies, all stars must give interviews during which they are asked all sorts of things - and maybe not the most intelligent ones. Such is the case of Emma Stone, who portrayed Gwen Stacy in the failed Amazing Spider-Man franchise.

While promoting Aloha (which, at the moment, seems to be like a dud, despite the stars involved in the film), Emma Stone was asked whether she would be interesting in portraying Spider-Gwen. As said, we have no clue where that question came from. And neither did she - hit 2 below and see how awkward things can get in the short interview!

Well, here it is, in all its ingloriousness!

And from Emma Stone saying that she is aware of Spider-Gwen and that she has read the comics to fueling the rumor that she is interested and that, maybe, a movie will be made, there is just one small step.

In any way, it was fun to see Bradley Cooper being funny again after such a long time. But still, not every comic book character can be brought on screens. And as Emma Stone said, I think a lot of pieces would have to come together before even considering such a bold move: to bring Spider-Gwen on the silver screens.

What do you think? Or better yet: is there anything to think of?
