Sebastian Stan Shares Shield Photo, Hints at Winter Soldier’s Future

While we don’t know what the future holds for Bucky Barnes in the MCU, Sebastian Stan, the actor who plays the Winter Soldier, has taken to Instagram to tease the possibility of Bucky taking over for Steve Rogers.

Stan posted a photo yesterday that features a shield made by Shield Labs, a company that produces replica movie props. The shield’s design is a perfect mix of the original Captain America shield and Bucky’s prosthetic arm.

Of course, the shield is not an actual prop from Avengers: Infinity War, the film in which we can next expect to see Bucky. It’s Stan’s caption that has fans wondering about the Winter Soldier’s role in the MCU. He wrote that the shield “will come in handy”, so perhaps the comic book storyline will indeed play out in the films.

You can check out the photo here:

What do you think of the cryptic caption?
