Scene Description: Skrulls to Appear in X-Men: Dark Phoenix

We've known for some time that X-Men: Dark Phoenix will be the first X-Men franchise movie to go cosmic, although an attempt to adapt this storyline had already been made. And it's fitting, as the Shi’ar Empire plays a major role in the events of Dark Phoenix. They were the first to see the threat posed by a Phoenix Force-possessed Jean Grey.

At first, we thought that Jessica Chastain would portray the Shi’ar empress Lilandra, but the actress soon debunked that rumor. So far, all we know about her role is that she’ll make James McAvoy cry! Her character's identity is anybody’s guess.

According to a new Universo X-Men report, X-Men: Dark Phoenix will introduce a new alien species in addition to the Shi’ar. According to the website’s exclusive scoop, in a scene from the movie, Professor X, Magneto, Cyclops, and Jean Grey will attend a UN meeting for a mutant-focused discussion.

At this point, they're attacked by Skrulls, who are attempting to invade Earth. This could be the catalyst that brings on Jean Grey’s transformation.

Of course, we should take all of this with a grain of salt. But Universo X-Men has proved to be right in the past, with several X-Men: Apocalypse scoops. If this story is true, Dark Phoenix will mark the shape-shifting aliens' first big-screen appearance.

And if it's true, and the Skrulls will appear in the movie, it will inspire plenty of conversation about a possible X-Men/MCU crossover. After all, we already know that the Skrulls will be the main antagonists in the Captain Marvel flick.
