Ryan Reynolds Has X-Force as His New Priority

Ryan Reynolds made Deadpool (the real one) happen just like it should: R-rated, filled with violence, gore, foul language, and sex. And seeing that this project of his, for which he fought for so long, is a successful one (as far as the audience's response is concerned, of course), what does he plan to do next?

During an interview with Filmstarts, Ryan Reynolds talked about bringing Deadpool to life, as well as plans for the future of the character. But, as the interviewer pointed out, this version of the character wouldn’t exist if it wasn't for X-Men: Days of Future Past, which made a mess of the timeline.

Since the movie is all about making fun of the common tropes of superhero flicks, what do you think the actor answered? Well, you can check out the interview at the end of this article to hear exactly what he had to say. We can just say that Ryan Reynolds isn't right - this version of Deadpool wouldn't have existed if Days of Future Past hadn't erased Wolverine's origin story. According to the actor, the Merc with a Mouth exists in his own universe.

Which can be the truth, if Deadpool is indeed schizophrenic.

However, the actor doesn't deny the fact that this character exists in the bigger X-Men universe (he can't actually, since Colossus is there) - the rebooted one, that is. And he knows that there are tons of storylines featuring this character that could be adapted for the big screens. And, of course, these storylines are X-Men related.

So, apparently, we won't actually have a Deadpool 2 movie - instead, Ryan Reynolds said that his next priority is an X-Force movie. Should we hope that it won't take it as long as it took Deadpool to reach the big screen?

No, we shouldn't hope. The X-Force movie was already announced, even if it hasn’t received a release date just yet (sometime in 2017, maybe even taking the slot occupied by Fant4stic 2). There is another question, however, regarding the X-Force movie:

Will Ryan Reynolds convince the studio to make it R-rated?
