Batman V Superman

While last week was dominated by Captain America: Civil War, this week is surely dominated by Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice! Just at the start of this week, they released a sneak peek that showed an exciting sequence of Superman unmasking Batman. And last night, they released a new trailer that offers more than anyone had expected.

An old rumor has been confirmed by this new Batman V Superman trailer - Doomsday is INDEED in the movie! Finally, we have reached beyond the VERSUS thing between the two superheroes! That was the focus of all the previous footage. And we get to watch the TRINITY standing on the same side for the first time!

Even though this new Batman V Superman trailer is thirty odd seconds shorter in length than the Comic Con trailer, it is far more jam-packed with exciting dialogue and action sequences. If not, why would anyone complain that they have spoiled the movie by giving away too much? However, I personally don't think they have spoiled anything. There are questions unanswered and I'm sure there are surprises.

Okay, let's get back to the topic now! Here I have listed the most thrilling dialogues from this new Batman V Superman trailer. Six of them in total!

So, let's get started with the best dialogues from the new trailer on the next page!

Clark Kent Meets Bruce Wayne for the First Time!

Batman V Superman trailer 2 quote

Clark Kent to Bruce Wayne

THAT'S HOW IT STARTS! In the opening scene of the new Batman V Superman trailer, Clark Kent gets to sees someone getting out his car, asks about his identity to his photographer and gets to know that he is Bruce Wayne! And then Clark approaches Bruce to have a chat.

That's obviously the first time the two are meeting. But they have heard of each other – that's for sure. The question that Clark asks is what exhilarates us - asking about his stance on Batman to the one who is Batman! That might make you think that he knows that Bruce Wayne is Batman and intentionally asks the question. But if he knew that, why would he ask about his identity at the first place?

I think, since Henry Cavill's character clearly doesn't support Batman's methods, it seems to be a question he would ask to anyone from Gotham. He is a journalist after all! I might be wrong though.

Bruce Wayne - Ben Affleck and comics

Do you find any similarity?

What made that dialogue more epic was the reaction of Ben Affleck's character! That smile is something very true to the comics. A typical Bruce Wayne simper, isn't it?

On the next page - a dialogue that refers to The Joker!

Another Batman V Superman Reference to The Joker!

Batman V Superman trailer 2 dialogue

Clark and Bruce to each other

Batman V Superman is still more than three and a half months away from hitting the theaters and we've already got two references to The Joker! We got the first one in the Comic Con trailer. HAHAHA, JOKE'S ON YOU BATMAN - those words painted on Robin's suit, remember?

Now, in this new Batman V Superman trailer, we get the first verbal reference to the Clown Prince of Crime. At one point of their COLD WAR like conversation Bruce Wayne utters that he's got a BAD HISTORY WITH FREAKS DRESSED LIKE CLOWNS!

So, you still think of me?

It was obviously intended to insult Clark Kent but it surely referred to the character with which Jared Leto debuts in the DC Extended Universe next year. We already know that Batman has some kind of an minor appearance in Suicide Squad revealed by leaked images and clips from the set and then by the Comic Con trailer.

And it seems like Zack Snyder is desperate to make Batman V Superman look like a shared universe installment - something that Marvel has been doing since 2008! And such references obviously excite us, don't they?

On the next page - Lex Luthor knocks down Lois Lane verbally!

Lex Luthor's Verbal Counter-Attack to Lois Lane!

Batman V Superman trailer 2 dialogue

Lois Lane and Lex Luthor to each other

Batman hates Superman and Superman hates Batman - that's sort of their innate feelings. But from what we've seen in the trailers, we can pretty much assume that Lex Luthor is doing all that he can to get them fight one another. BLACK AND BLUE, GOD VERSUS MAN, DAY VERSUS LIGHT! Don't you remember those words from the Comic Con trailer of Batman V Superman?

And in this new trailer he is found saying to Lois Lane, "The greatest gladiator match in the history of the world. The son of Krypton versus the Bat of Gotham." That possibly follows his revelation to her on how he's made the superheroes fight each other.”

Lex Luthor

He’s childish at times but still he’s LEX LUTHOR!

That's when Amy Adams' character calls him PSYCHOTIC. A straight forward insult right away! But Jesse Eisenberg's character doesn't seem to mind a bit! Even though this incarnation often appears childish and immature, he is LEX LUTHOR after all! He outwits Lois Lane by counter-attacking on her level of intelligence. And the way in which he utters those words sounds a bit poetic, isn't it?

On the next page - Henry Cavill's character utters the words that every Superman fan would love to hear!

Superman Speaks Up the TRUTH to Batman!

Batman V Superman trailer 2 dialogue

Superman to Batman

Ever since the title of the movie was announced BATMAN V SUPERMAN, questions have raised on how that could even be possible! No matter how skilled and intelligent the Dark Knight is, he doesn't have superpowers. On the other hand, the son of Krypton has God like powers! How can Batman even stand in front of Superman? I, in spite of being a Batman fan, didn't think it would be a fair fight.

Well, Batman V Superman doesn't ignore such questions. Alfred Pennyworth has been found warning Bruce Wayne that it would be some kind of a suicide attempt to fight against Superman. A couple of months ago, Ben Affleck commented that the Caped Crusader plays dirty with the Titan of Metropolis. He realizes that Superman won't kill him.

Batman v Superman

I do BLEED but I do also have the ability to kill you!

And now we come to know that even Superman realizes that he could have killed Batman if he only wanted to! In this new trailer, he's made Batman fall on ground and doesn't hesitate to command him in that God like way. That's a damn good warning! Well, you deserve that if you don't listen to Alfred!

On the next day - the moments before Lex Luthor unleashes Doomsday!

Lex Luthor has got a Plan B to Kill Superman!

Batman V Superman trailer 2 dialogue

Lex Luthor to Superman (apparently)

It has been pretty clear since the first official teaser trailer of the movie that Lex Luthor wants Superman to be taken down. That is why he wants Batman fight with him. But whatever he has done to make BATMAN V SUPERMAN happen, he wasn't confident enough on Superman being defeated and killed. So, he has got a Plan B.

What is his Plan B? It is DOOMSDAY! In the movie, he's apparently created this supervillain out of the body of General Zod who had been killed by Supe in the end scene of Man of Steel. His plan was to get this GOD killed by the MAN. But if he didn't, then he would turn to the DEVIL to kill him! And so he does!

Doomsday

Lex Luthor’s Plan B!

This quote is particularly more exciting because we get our first look at Doomsday right just when Lex Luthor finishes it. But I assume there are scenes in between in Batman V Superman since Superman is standing behind Lex when he utters these words and he's also standing next to Batman when Doomsday appears. If there isn't a scene in between, Bizzaro's appearance might be in the cards!

On the next page - Wonder Woman comes in rescue of Batman and Superman, but she also confuses them!

Wonder Woman Saves & Confuses the Superheroes!

Batman V Superman trailer 2 dialogue

Superman and Batman to each other

Last week's Captain America: Civil War trailer offered touching sequence where Captain America tells to Iron Man that he is fighting him because he has no other option, because Winter Soldier is his friend. Then Iron Man utters - SO WAS I! Well, such emotional scenes are rare in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as they tend to be light hearted fun movies. You can usually expect that from a DC movie.

And now, Batman V Superman trailer offers something that you would expect from a Marvel movie - HUMOR! That's really rare in DC movies.

This happens at the ending seconds of the trailer when Wonder Woman comes in rescue of the two superheroes. She saves them from Doomsday's heat vision with her shield.

Wonder Woman

Whose side she is on?!

Either of Superman and Batman thinks that she is on the other's side! That seems to me as if Cap is asking that question to Tony and he is responding in that way! This isn't the way we would expect Superman and Batman exchange words between them. But that doesn't mean we didn't love that!
