New WONDER WOMAN Photo Spotted at Comic-Con

News from the San Diego Comic-Con floor seems endless this week. Today we’re getting a look at a new image from the upcoming “Wonder Woman” solo film, directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot. This photo was seen on the convention floor and features Gadot as Wonder Woman (also known as the Amazonian princess Diana) riding a horse:

Gadot made her first appearance as the DC character in this year’s “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” “Wonder Woman” is scheduled to hit theatres June 2, 2017, and also stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, and Robin Wright as General Antiope.

The film will follow Diana, Amazon princess and demigoddess, as she leaves the secluded island she calls home and attempts to stop a world war. Steve Trevor, an American pilot, sets the plot in motion when he crashes on the island and tells Diana of what’s happening in the outside world.

Though there’s no evidence that Wonder Woman’s invisible plane will be featured in the movie, an “invisible” plane has been seen at SDCC this week as well, as part of the celebration of the character’s 75th anniversary.

Comic-Con officially kicks off today, so there’ll be plenty more insider info to digest in the days to come. Hopefully we’ll learn a bit more about the Wonder Woman film and what we can expect from the DC Extended Universe in the future.

What do you think of the new photo? Are you looking forward to “Wonder Woman” next summer?
