New Arrow/Flash Spinoff Series At Works!

The CW is the life-force of DC Television Universe at the moment with Arrow and The Flash as the key representatives. The two CW shows have introduced a number of DC Comics characters and even Barry Allen, aka The Flash, was introduced in Starling City before coming up front with his adventures in the Central City.

According to a latest report by Deadline, CW is working out to develop another DC superhero venture featuring some characters from Arrow and The Flash. The Arrow/Flash spinoff series is described as a ‘superhero team-up show’ and will add ‘three major DC Comics characters who have never appeared in a TV series’.

The three executive producers of Arrow, Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim, are reportedly in charge of the new Arrow/Flash spinoff series. The series won’t be part of the CW’s current pilot cycle and might get aired right away next midseason.

The Arrow/Flash Characters!

Arrow/Flash Spinoff will feature them! Arrow/Flash Spinoff will feature them!

According to the report, Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer aka The ATOM, Wentworth Miller’s Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold and Victor Garber’s Dr. Martin Stein will appear in the Arrow/Flash spinoff series. Caity Lotz is also reported to join them but it is still unclear whether she would represent her Arrow character Sara Lance, aka Black Canary, which is dead or come up as a new superhero.

Firestorm Without Robbie Amell?

Robbie Amell's Firestorm will miss out? Robbie Amell's Firestorm will miss out?

The casting of Caity Lotz in the Arrow/Flash spinoff is a question which can be answered by referring to some probable flashback scenes as seen in Arrow. Another answer to that might be that the series will take place somewhere in the past but obviously a number of questions would evolve with it.

But one strange thing is that Robbie Amell’s Ronnie Raymond hasn’t been mentioned anywhere. They need to have Ronnie in the series if they want some Firestorm show in it and Victor Garber’s character won’t be able to do that alone. If Robbie isn’t there, Dr. Martin Stein might play some intellectual support role in the team.

The ruthless Captain Cold joining the superheroes is also something that can’t be gulped down easily. Maybe we need to wait a few more months to get more details for a clearer conception on the show.
