First teaser for Marvel's Inhumans has arrived!

The first official trailer for Marvel's Inhumans, which will debut on IMAX screens in about four months, has surfaced online. And right away, it heralds betrayal within the Inhuman Royal Family.

Rather than actual footage, the teaser shows an animated treatment of the show's logo. We do hear a brief conversation between Iwan Rheon's Maximus the Mad and a mysterious female character, most probably Serinda Swan's Medusa or Isabelle Cornish's Crystal.

In the preview, Maximus is evidently not happy with his brother Black Bolt and his "silence" in regard to an issue that Maximus apparently wants to confront in an aggressive manner. The female voice warns him that he’s "talking about betraying" the King of Attilan (Anson Mount), which amounts to "talking about treason". But he makes it clear that he disagrees:

What I'm talking about is freedom"¦freedom for all Inhumans.

Here's the teaser for you!

Marvel has also given us our first official look at the Inhuman Royal Family (via EW). The photo shows Black Bolt, Medusa, Maximus, and Crystal, along with Eme Ikwuakor's Gorgon and Ken Leung's Karnak. Check it out below!

EW also had the opportunity to speak with showrunner Scott Buck, who responded to some persistent queries about the upcoming ABC series. He confirmed that The Inhumans is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and that events on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would "potentially affect" the new show. However, he made it clear that they aren't considering a crossover at this point.

Mount revealed that his character will use sign language to communicate. Buck seemed to hint that the show's version of Black Bolt will have some telepathic abilities, as his comic book counterpart did. As for Medusa, the showrunner confirmed that she will have prehensile hair. When asked about Ellen Woglam's mysterious character, Buck revealed that she’s an original character, as opposed to one from the comic books.

The first two episodes of Marvel's Inhumans will arrive in IMAX theaters on September 1, and the eight-episode ABC series will premiere on September 26! Share your excitement (or disinterest) via comments, and stay tuned for the latest updates!
