The credits scene has become a staple of comic book movies. We've seen such scenes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the X-Men Universe, and in the newer DC Extended Universe. People stay to watch the credits to see who worked on the movie, catch a tease about events to come, or to have a laugh.
However, Wonder Woman won't follow this trend, so the Patty Jenkins film will break the mold once again. First, it’s the first DC Extended Universe movie to receive positive reviews. And now we’ve learned that it won't feature a credits scene. We can add that it’s the first superhero movie to focus on a female character in this modern age of comic book movies.

Producer Charles Roven made the reveal about the lack of a credits scene during an interview with Cinema Blend:
I'm not going to say we'd never do one"¦There was one in Suicide Squad. But I don't think that we want to feel that we're forced to do something just because we did it in the past.
Having a credits scene doesn't really make sense, since Wonder Woman takes place during WWI when superheroes didn't exist (Superman was a beacon for them, as said in Suicide Squad). So, with Diana Prince being the sole superhero in existence, there was no point in teasing the next DC Extended Universe installment.
Of course, a case can still be made for including a credits scene, since the next installment is Justice League, and the credits scene could have teased the Army of Apokolips.
