Tons Of DC Movies And Shows Will Now Stream For Free On Tubi

DC fans will soon be able to stream a wide selection of movies and TV shows, free of charge. Tubi has inked a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery that will see both recent and classic titles from the DC Universe heading to the ad-supported streaming service. The downside is that viewers will have to put up with some ad breaks to watch them. The good news is that they will be completely free to stream, and some of them are available right now.

A selection of DC Universe films including The Batman, Black Adam, Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), Green Lantern, Suicide Squad, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984 will be arriving on Tubi in 2024. Several DC animated movies are also coming to the service in December. These titles include Batman: Death in the Family, Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam, The Death of Superman, Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox, Son of Batman and Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. Tubi chief content officer Adam Lewinson had the following to say about it.

“The addition of recent blockbuster movies and fan-favorite series from the DC library is a monumental offering for Tubi viewers. We’re so pleased to have such wonderful partners at Warner Bros. Discovery, who are expanding the reach of their superhero franchise films and series that are destined to draw new audiences and fandoms with Tubi’s highly engaged viewers.”

Now available on Tubi on-demand are classics such as Tim Burton’s Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Superman: The Movie and Superman II. Shows such as Batwoman, Gotham, and Krypton are also currently available, with Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman arriving on December 31. Other shows due to hit the service in December include Stargirl, Swamp Thing and Constantine.

This is all pretty remarkable for several reasons. For one, it’s an impressive selection of DC titles. Beyond that, most of these titles have only been available to stream on Max, which has been Warner Bros.’ hub for all things DC. But as the streaming landscape continues to change, companies continue to look for ways to maximize revenue for movies and TV shows. Allowing an ad-supported streaming service to license appealing titles is certainly one way to do that.

Look for these DC movies on Tubi in 2024.
