It has been more than two months since Justice League kicked off its filming. But The Rum Diary and Magic Mike XXL star Amber Heard, who will be appearing in the movie as Mera, hasn't begun shooting her parts for the Zack Snyder flick.The actress has been in the headlines recently, due to her domestic violence case against husband Johnny Depp.
According to TMZ, Heard was scheduled for a costume fitting in London for her Justice League role this week, and told the court she’d be unable to attend a deposition for the domestic violence case because of the fitting! As if that isn’t enough of a shock, the actress never went to London!
So, why didn't she show up for the Justice League costume fitting? According to Heard, she didn’t cancel it. No, the movie's production crew rescheduled it!
Why did they do that? Heard's people claim that Justice League producers rescheduled the costume fitting because they thought she wasn't "camera-ready" for the role.
The 30-year-old actress has lost around 20 pounds due to her recent "overwhelming stress". That makes her "too skinny" for the role of Mera (She does look alarmingly thin in her most recent photos)!

Is Warner Bros. going to end up recasting Mera in Justice League? To be honest, it's hard to not wonder. This is because it seems unlikely that the Heard/Depp divorce proceeding will be resolved anytime soon.
Heard will likely be busy in court for the next couple of months or so. And that most likely won’t help her become camera-ready for the role of Mera.
However, since the costume fitting has been rescheduled and not canceled, it's too early to view recasting as inevitable. The studio could eventually push back filming of her Justice League scenes to a later date.
