Jon Favreau to Return as Happy Hogan in Spider-Man: Homecoming!

Jon Favreau will reportedly return as Happy Hogan in Spider-Man: Homecoming!

Jon Favreau may not have been actively involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe lately, but he is one of those who contributed significantly during its initial stages. He not only directed the first two Iron Man movies, but also served as an executive producer for the first two Avengers movies, and he will retain his position in the next two, as well.

And there's some good news for those who’ve missed Favreau's presence in the MCU: He’s coming back! No, they haven't announced Iron Man 4 and brought him on to helm the movie! But the 49-year-old filmmaker-cum-actor is set to return as Happy Hogan in next year's Spider-Man: Homecoming, reports Variety.

Jon Favreau portrayed the character, who can be described as Tony Stark's bodyguard, friend, and chauffeur in the entire Iron Man trilogy. Since Robert Downey, Jr.'s character has already been confirmed for the Jon Watts venture, Happy's return is reasonable.

Favreau already revealed in an interview with IGN a few months ago that he loved Tom Holland's webslinger in Captain America: Civil War. He said that the character made him "smile every second" he was on the screen. He also loved the version of Tony Stark he saw in those scenes with Peter Parker.

So Favreau must be delighted to be a part of the upcoming July 7, 2017 release.

Apart from the casting report, we have some more stuff related to Spider-Man: Homecoming. A bunch of photos from the movie's set in Atlanta, Georgia have surfaced on the web.

While these stills don't feature Tom Holland in his Spidey suit, they do feature him dressed as Peter, along with Marisa Tomei as the "unusually attractive" Aunt May! Check out some of the set photos below (via Just Jared)!

A couple of weeks ago, Holland and his Spider-Man: Homecoming co-star Jacob Batalon visited Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Holland spent some quality time in his Spidey suit with the beautiful kids there.

During the visit, Holland also stopped by Ryan Seacrest Studios, where a video was made featuring footage from the actor's trip and his brief interview with them. Here's the video for you!
