A couple of days ago, we reported that Seth Grahame-Smith had left The Flash, which would have been his first movie as director. Just after that, Devin Faraci of Birth. Movies. Death. dropped a rumor that his "multiple, reliable sources" suggest that James Wan, who has been hired to helm the Aquaman standalone movie, is "feeling a tremendous amount of trepidation" about the July 27, 2018 release.
Of course, when a rumor about someone’s leaving a particular project follows the news of a similar departure from that or a related project, it sounds more credible. However, we can rest assured that the Fast 7 director is not saying his farewells to Aquaman.
James Wan has made his position very clear by posting a photo via his official Twitter account, in which he casually leans against a king-size mural of the King of the Seven Seas. This is unquestionably a quiet and cool way of reassuring us that he remains committed to Aquaman. Check out the photo below!

While this relieved and gladdened many fans, it also resulted in some anger at the correspondent who started the rumor. This isn't the first time that a rumor he dropped appeared to place the DC Extended Universe in a negative light, and eventually proved to be erroneous.
He reported that Suicide Squad’s reshoots were to add some fun. Later, actor Jai Courtney and director David Ayer claimed that the report was untrue.

The blame doesn’t fall solely on our journalists; we should also take a look at the sources who provide the information in the first place! We can't say everything that Devin has brought has always proven to be wide of the mark. He's been spot on in numerous cases. We just need to take every rumor with a grain of salt, perhaps a larger grain for certain sources and writers)!
