Ezra Miller Talks Deleted Justice League Scene and Speed Force!

We caught glimpses of Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, aka The Flash, in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, but we'll get a proper introduction in Justice League later this month. We're pretty sure that the speedster will have the opportunity to push some people and run away in the movie, but we shouldn't expect that he'll already be called by his superhero name.

During a recent conversation with WSVN-TV's Chris Van Vliet, Miller suggested that his character won't go by The Flash in the upcoming Zack Snyder flick, and revealed that there was a scene in which Barry tried to come up with a moniker for himself. However, the scene didn’t make it into the theatrical cut of Justice League:

Barry is just Barry at this point…There's even a scene that was cut from the movie where he's going on and on and on, trying to figure out who he should be and what he should call himself. So yeah, he doesn't have a superhero name yet.

Miller also shared that Barry is still working on savvying out the Speed Force when we meet him in Justice League:

I think he's in a mode of theorizing about his contact with this very mysterious phenomenon in the DC world that's known as the Speed Force. At one point during the film, he does actually speak to the reality that he's named this force that he's discovering as he runs into it and through it, and knows of its powers…So, yeah, he gets into some very poetic territory.
