Ezra Miller Says the Flash Movie Will Be “Extremely Fun” and “Deeply Human”!

Ezra Miller says that The Flash movie will be extremely fun and deeply human!

While it remains to be seen whether brighter days are coming to the DC Extended Universe, we can rest assured that lighter days are indeed coming. The first two movies, Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, were accused of being too dark. The recently released Suicide Squad has a great deal of humor, but many complain that it's somewhat forced.

However, the appearance of Ezra Miller's The Flash (in a bigger-than-cameo role) in next year's Justice League leads us to expect that there won't be a shortage of humor in the movie.

We have already seen glimpses of it in the movie's Comic-Con teaser trailer, haven't we? His character says yes to Bruce Wayne's proposal of joining the Justice League right away only because he needs friends!

While Barry Allan will have his first significant role in the DCEU in the upcoming November 17, 2017 release, his standalone movie will be released the very next year. And that movie is something Ezra Miller is very excited about.

In a recent interview with MTV, the 23-year-old actor talks about what they intend The Flash movie to be. According to Ezra:

I think there's just an intention to make something extremely fun and something superhuman and something deeply human. It's the thing we're all trying to do, but I think Rick's mind and his heart are in an excellent place, and his expertise as a filmmaker, as evidenced by Dope, all come together as very exciting factors to me.

During the interview, the actor praises Kiersey Clemons, who is the leading lady in The Flash movie, by saying that she's "amazing". He also recalls reading lines with the actress during her audition for the Iris West role:

I had the opportunity to read with her and do some explorative acting in our chemistry read…the results of these experiments clearly were positive. I'm just deeply excited about what these people carry in their hearts, and I'm excited about the radical intention that everybody seems to be bringing to the genesis chamber of this film.

It appears that Ezra Miller has a lot of respect for Grant Gustin, who portrays the Scarlet Speedster in the CW's DC Universe. Here's what he says about his TV counterpart:

He's a boss. I can't wait to see him, eye to eye, adrift in the Speed Force "” our eyes will lock and, in that moment, we will both know the truth. What truth? I dare not say.

While he is eager to meet with one Grant, he mentions that he stays in contact with another, comic book writer Grant Morrison. According to Ezra, the Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth author is his "absolute Guruji" when it comes to The Flash and comic book mythos.
