Doctor Strange: First Preview Reactions

Doctor Strange will arrive in less than three weeks. So, naturally, the Marvel marketing campaign is going full throttle at this moment, with interviews, clips, reveals (some bigger, some smaller), and so on, in order to convince the audiences to see this movie. But, really, since we are talking about the MCU, do people still need to be convinced to see Doctor Strange?

Apparently they do. Or so say some of those who were lucky enough to see a 15-minute preview of the film. Screened yesterday, those 15 minutes were enough to convince even those who were undecided that the full flick will be more than worth the while.

Of course, there were some who said that some jokes fell flat or that there was a bit of overacting. But, given the fact that there was no context to the scenes previewed, these things can be explained. Almost everybody praised the film’s visuals (as they should, since even from the beginning the psychedelic touch was the focus of the marketing campaign), the lines, the acting, and even the Stan Lee cameo.

Obviously, there are no particular details concerning the plot. But this could be very good news for this solo franchise:

To be noted, the preview reactions could prove to be misleading. It has happened quite a few times before. But this is the MCU - so how misleading can they be?
