Sorry, Christian Grey, Deadpool has got some serious whipping to do with you! The first solo outing of the Merc with a Mouth released yesterday, and it's doing far better than expected. Deadline reports that the 20th Century Fox flick has smacked Fifty Shades of Grey's Friday figure with a projected daily haul of no less than $41.5 million!

And the Ryan Reynolds starrer is looking good enough to attain the biggest February domestic opening of all time. At the moment, the record belongs to Fifty Shades of Grey, which bagged $30.3 million on Friday and $93 million over the four-day weekend. Deadpool is on course to make a whopping $102.5 million in its first three days and $115.3 million in its first four days.

These figures are way better than the pre-tracking figures for the movie. That's likely to happen when a movie is better than expected. Well, I'm not the only one saying that - check out Betty White's hilarious review of Deadpool, for instance!

Deadpool had 3 More Villains in the Works!

Ed Skrein's Ajax and Gina Carano's Angel Dust are the big baddies in Deadpool, but the original plan was a little different. While talking to Cinema Blend, one of the writers, Rhett Reese, revealed that the first draft of the movie featured three villains, who were replaced with Angel Dust. Here's what he said:

We consolidated, in the first draft, Ajax has really three underlings. It was Wyre, it was Garrison Kane, and it was Sluggo.

According to the writer, it was "due to budget" that they had to replace the three characters with one. And they also wanted to have "a really strong, kick-ass female presence" in the movie. He added:

That was a mandate from Tim, so we introduced Angel Dust as sort of a combination of those three to provide the muscle for Ajax.

Well, who could regret that? Deadpool is already an outstanding movie. And while the three villains weren’t in it, surely they’ll be in the sequel. And, obviously, this time budget won't be an issue!
