Following a 12 days foreplay, Fox released on the 25^th the second trailer for Deadpool - and what a trailer that was! One-liners, action, awesome powers reveals, and even some interesting tidbits which need a couple of words from our part.

Of course, it can be argued that a couple of shots seem repetitive at some point, being recycled from the first trailer. But this second one raises the bar a bit more, since it reveals some important plot details, such as the reason why Deadpool becomes a superhero.

And what better way to start the article than mentioning what the world missed? While the world-wide trailer began with the taxi scene in the pre-post-apocalyptic Detroit (as director Tim Miller puts it), the UK version of the trailer was a short montage with scenes from the first teaser.

And there is something new in here also - a crotch-shot which reveals that the Merc with a Mouth likes fighting balls-out. Literally. Is this a nice touch or what? The scene is a part of the larger highway sequence, so we can assume that I'm touching myself tonight actual meant I'm touching myself right now. Later on, just a couple of seconds later, there is a second crotch shot - yeah, he is a freak.

This is the kind of superhero Deadpool is - definitely not one for the kiddies.

Angel Dust and Negasonic Teenage Warhead

Gina Carano is Angel Dust, a mutant who can increase her own adrenaline levels and thus become stronger. In the comics, this is a relatively new character and also quite a minor one. As the director previously explained, they had to settle with this unknown mutant because of the budget of the film.

And this is a good thing, as it turns out. In the comics, Angel Dust's strength varies (obviously, depending on the adrenaline levels) and doesn't last for too long. In the movie, as we saw, she can actually kick Colossus like he is just a normal average Joe. Which says a lot about her abilities.

If we also take into account the annotated script page released during the 12 days of teasing, she is way more powerful than Deadpool. If the superhero broke his wrists and his foot when kicking the Russian in the face, Angel Dust disposed of him seemingly effortless.

And then came (so to speak) Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) in what seemed to be the most expensive CGI in the entire trailer, forcing Angel Dust into a wall. In the comics, she has telepathic and precognitive abilities - something with which Tim Miller disagreed, given her more than awesome name.

So in the movie she can make parts of her body explode, in a way mirroring her own personality. Thus, as the director said, she can even fly if she aims the force of the explosion downwards. Basically, what we see in the trailer after she Tweets something is how she concentrates the explosions forwards, straight into Angel Dust.

Colossus and the X-Men

As previously stated, Deadpool and the X-Men share the same universe. If the team has its base in New York, the former resides in Detroit - a city with a beautiful landscape, but which falls apart when inspected closer (just like Deadpool, who is completely unf**kable under his mask). In the movie, Negasonic Teenage Warhead is a trainee of Colossus - who is, for the moment, the only X-Men member to be featured in the flick (we still expect a cameo from Wolverine, given the fact that he is also a Weapon X experiment and Hugh Jackman also took part in the 12 days of Deadpool teasing).

In the trailer, Colossus looks simply awesome - much more rugged and much bigger than the Daniel Cudmore version. He doesn't want to impress and he just does things which attest his power - throwing a gigantic tire at some evil minions (in X2, Bryan Singer showed his power by making him carry a giant TV - without any purpose).

But why is he there? We have no clue, other than the fact that the X-Men are concerned about Deadpool's actions. As the director revealed, Colossus is the main protagonist of a big action sequence in the third act.

Blackbird also appears in the trailer, somewhere in the background.

Vanessa Carlysle

Portrayed by the beautiful Morena Baccarin, Vanessa Carlysle was the better half in the steamy sex-scene from the first trailer. In this second one it is revealed that she is also the reason why the Merc becomes a superhero - in order to save her from Ajax (and this isn't at all the superhero way). Apparently, he has kidnapped her so now Wade Wilson needs to become something else - he has an indestructible body already, so what he needs is a costume.

Yes, there is also a montage in the film in which he makes his own costume - though Tim Miller did assure the fans that it is like nothing anybody has seen. We have our doubts at the moment, but looking forward to seeing this scene!

Back to Vanessa, she is in the comics the mutant known as Copycat - the name is self-explanatory, Vanessa being able to mimic others to a cellular level, pretty much like Mystique does. However, Copycat can even mimic the powers of other mutants. In the second trailer, Vanessa says that she has played many roles - what does she mean? Is this a hint that she is also a mutant in this flick, or is this a hint that in the coming sequels she will become one?

Of course, it may be something else, more trivial - the rumor is that Vanessa is a call-girl, which means that she did play quite a few roles for and with her clients"¦

Ajax and the wall

For now, Ajax is the big baddie of the movie - the villain henchman and doctor who transforms Wade Wilson completely (well, not completely, since his sense of humor didn't disappear). He and Angel Dust are the ones who kidnap Vanessa and thus prompt Wade into becoming Deadpool.

And there is a scene in which the superhero stares at a wall with all sorts of pictures and writings and so on - the Christmas hit list. Ajax is right up there, to the top - but not exactly there. As said, he is still just a henchman who answers to someone else. The Recruiter (who may as well be called Agent Smith, simply because) is not that higher power - and having a knife stuck into that pictures may suggest that this target has already been eliminated.

So who is the one pulling the strings? It isn't revealed yet - but we can bet that we will be surprised when that happens.

Quite a while ago, it was rumored that an important X-Men villain will appear in the Mutant Cinematic Universe, just after the arrival of Apocalypse. And the movie in which he will pop-up for the first time is Gambit - that villain is Mister Sinister, about whom Bryan Cranston said that he'll love to play. So what if Sinister is the man behind the Weapon X project in this new continuity? And what if Deadpool finds out too late in order to have his vengeance?

Deadpool - for adults only

If it wasn't clear until now, the second trailer (the Red Band one, of course) showcased again that this isn't a flick to see with the entire family. While director Tim Miller says that he doesn't understand why so much gore is used in some movies, he uses plenty of it as well (like that time when the villains share a bullet, or when Pool plays soccer with a henchman's head).

Furthermore, there is a lot of cursing and the breaking of the fourth wall occurs in the most interesting (if we can say so) moments - like the second crotch shot, in the taxi.

There are quite a few unanswered questions, which will probably find an answer when the movie arrives - the biggest one concerning, of course, the boss of Ajax. If it will be indeed revealed in this first outing, we can expect some more inappropriate rants. If not"¦

For the moment, we can say that this Deadpool looks perfect, even when not compared to the X-Men Origins one. There are, of course, a couple of things missing (such as Wade being a schizophrenic), but they couldn't be all inserted in this first solo outing - as the director said.

All in all, this movie deserves the buzz built around it. It won't be such a huge hit, since it is R-rated, but it will still get its budget back and then some. Deadpool arrives on the 12^th of February 2016 - and it will certainly prove that R-rated and low-budget superhero movies can make a good buck at the box office.
