Deadpool 2: First Official Poster Released!

In 2015, Ryan Reynolds proved that he was more than just an actor; he was also a one-man marketing machine. In 2016, Deadpool broke box-office records  and demonstrated that an R-rated comic book movie could work so well that it deserved a sequel.

The sequel is due out in June 2018, so we’re expecting to see Ryan Reynolds hard at work promoting Deadpool 2! And promotional activities have already begun for the movie with the release of its first official poster, which has a Thanksgiving theme reminiscent of the work of Norman Rockwell.

Remember back when Deadpool channeled Burt Reynolds? This new poster is just as funny, but it’s also more detailed!

All of the major players are there, including Stan Lee. We can't wait for the next tease!

Ryan Reynolds also posted a pic of Deadpool on the cover of Good Housekeeping Magazine on his Twitter account. But there’s more! The tweet also offers some advice on stuffing a Thanksgiving turkey!

In other Deadpool-related news, the revelation about Disney’s possible purchase of 20th Century Fox – which would give them the rights to the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and all related characters – prompted Ryan Reynolds to ask what might happen to Deadpool, which doesn’t really fit in with Disney's child-friendly image.

Well, he’s not the only one who’s concerned about the franchise’s future. Creator Rob Liefeld also addressed the issue, but in a different manner. He pointed out that Deadpool was a major box office hit, so maybe the studio should wait until Deadpool 2 reaches a billion dollars and then determine whether they should make a deal with Disney.

Deadpool 2 will be released on June 1, 2018, and that could even be interpreted as a hint about the film’s plot.
