Daniel Bruhl Joins Captain America: Civil War

Daniel Bruhl was a couple of days ago rumored to join the cast of Captain America: Civil War. The Russo brothers’ flick resumes the narrative from wherever Avengers: Age of Ultron leaves it. Iron Man and Captain America are supposed to turn against each other, given a difference of opinion on a law aiming to regulate superhuman activity.

Could that be the whole conflict that fuels the plot of Captain America 3? The latest reports indicate the list of villains grows thick. Now with Daniel Bruhl on board, a certain antagonist in purple mantle will make an appearance.

Daniel Bruhl is Baron Zemo

Walt Disney and Marvel Studio have recently issued a casting report that indicates Daniel Bruhl will bring Baron Zemo on the big screen. He is one of the fiercest antiheroes in the Marvel Universe, yet he was never before portrayed in a live-action movie for the big screen.

Let's see who Baron Zemo is. The Marvel Universe mentions more than just on Baron Zemo. Two outstanding names come out of this lineage: Heinrich, a brilliant Nazi scientist, and Helmut, the son of the former, who shares his father's brilliance and maleficence.

The distinctive feature of Baron Zemo is, regardless of the actual villain that carries the title, is he wears a purple mask to hide his disfigurement. Keep in mind Daniel Bruhl's character is none other than the mastermind behind Captain America's disappearance in WWII.

Obviously, there's a lot of bad blood between the Avengers and the villainous Baron Zemo. His appearance in Captain America makes all the more sense, if the Steve Rogers and his enemy were to square up in this particular sequel.

All in all, Baron Zemo is an excellent choice for the lead antagonist in Captain America 3. Would you have thought of someone else? If so, have your say! Leave your comments here and share your thoughts with us!
