In a move that goes to show that Marvel is completely satisfied with the final cut of the movie, the studio has announced that Captain America: Civil War will screen earlier than originally planned, at the 2016 CinemaCon on the 13th of April. This move is also meant to reassure theater owners that the movie will bring in substantial profits.
Coming right after Batman v Superman, an earlier screening might be essential, especially since Civil War is also about good guys fighting other good guys, with events most likely manipulated from the shadows by a hidden villain. In this way, the early screening will demonstrate to theater owners that the movie has every chance of being an even bigger hit than BvS, and that the audiences haven't grown tired of the formula.

Thus, this move makes sense from a financial point of view. Depending on the impact the screening will have on the theater owners, they can decide whether or not to book the film for longer runs and in bigger auditoriums. And this is essential for the success of a movie.
Furthermore, it can be expected that the buzz will increase after this first screening, which means a bigger debut weekend. And, as everybody knows, the debut weekend is the one which, ultimately, determines a movie’s success - in the US, the typical movie earns roughly 2.5 times more at the box office in its entire run than in its debut weekend.
What does this mean for the fans? It isn't as if they will be able to attend the CinemaCon Civil War screening. Basically, this has no impact from this point of view, other than reassuring them (to a certain degree) that Marvel hasn't lost its mojo.
