Batman v Superman: Dawn of Petitions!

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Petitions - this title could make sense now!

The recently released DC Extended Universe installment is titled Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but in reality it has turned out to be the DAWN of a number of other things! It can be called the Dawn of Disagreement for being the most divisive movie in a long time. Despite the film critics slamming and bashing Batman v Superman in almost every possible way, the movie has managed to bag half a billion dollars from the global box office in just five days!

And this movie can also be called the Dawn of Petitions, because it has yielded three different petitions at Change.org since its release! The first among the petitions has been created by a fan named Bryan Cruz, who pleads to Warner Bros. to fire Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder from their upcoming Justice League movies.

According to Bryan, the director has already had two chances to work with DC Comics characters on the big screen, and both times he's produced "middling results". He thinks that even if many have loved Man of Steel or Batman v Superman, the studio should have someone at the helm to create movies that "WON'T divide people in such a way"! At the time of writing this piece, the petition has close to 10,000 supporters.

In reaction to that petition, a fan named Marius Møller has launched another petition asking Warner Bros. to keep Zack Snyder on for the Justice League movies! According to Marius, the director and the studio have "a plan and an arc" they want to complete with the expansion of DC Extended Universe; more directors will be brought in.

So, there's no need to axe someone like Snyder, who "loves this franchise and does his best to bring us quality DC movies". This petition has bagged close to 2,500 supporters.

The third petition doesn't care if Zack Snyder stays or goes

And there's the third petition, which basically doesn't care about firing or keeping Snyder for Justice League. All it wants is for the studio to release the R-rated Ultimate Cut of Batman v Superman in theaters! And the petition’s author is someone named Bruce Wayne (!) who doesn't want to wait until July 16, when it’s to be released on Blu-Ray and DVD! This one has around 1,500 supporters.

I've been thinking of launching a petition asking Warner Bros. and Universal Studios to make a movie entitled "Batman and Superman v Bridget Jones! Thanks to Jimmy Kimmel Live, we already have a trailer for it! Check it out below!
