Suicide Squad is currently undergoing reshoots but when it was first filmed, around eleven months ago, Ben Affleck was spotted on the set donning his Batman costume. Later, we saw glimpses of the Caped Crusader in the movie's Comic Con trailer. So, we know it well that Affleck's character is in the David Ayer flick but we've been assuming that it's just a cameo.
However, a rumor has popped up which suggests that Batman has got more than just a cameo in Suicide Squad! In a recent Heroic Insider video, hosts Umberto Gonzalez and Daniel Alter shed some light on the Dark Knight's role in the August 5 release. That's when Gonzalez said:
The film tested recently, they had test screenings. And according to sources – check this out - there's a lot more Batman in the movie than they are letting on.
That, of course, is nothing more than a rumor at the moment but we must not forget that the person who dropped it has a pretty solid track record in this field. For example, while everyone was busy speculating about Scoot McNairy playing Jimmy Olsen or even Robin in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Gonzalez scooped the true role.
And it would definitely make sense to have Batman in a bigger role in Suicide Squad because, apparently, almost everyone in Task Force X is belongs to the superhero's rogue gallery in comics.

There's one more Suicide Squad rumor that Gonzalez dropped in the video and it's related to a new trailer that will arrive soon. According to his source, the new trailer is using English rock band Sweet's 1973 track The Ballroom Blitz! He claims that this is the same source that informed him about the last trailer being cut to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.
And recently, we heard another rumor that a new trailer for the movie will arrive at the MTV Awards tomorrow. So, we might not have to wait for long to see if that rumor is true!
