Back in 2000, Anna Paquin made her debut as Mary, aka Rogue, and till today she has played the character in four different X-Men Universe installments. But she doesn't want to say GOOD BYE to playing the mutant! She still wants to return as Rogue! That's what she has confirmed in a recent interview with IGN. Claiming that she had a great time on each of the X-Men movies, the Academy Award winning actress said:

"If it happens that that’s something that makes sense for whichever of the 700 different X-Men projects that are happening which I personally can’t keep track of then that’s great."

But X-Men Universe is moving ahead in some other direction - actors for the different mutant characters have been replaced by fresh faces as their younger versions. And even Hugh Jackman has confirmed leaving his mutant character with the untitled third Wolverine standalone movie. So, to be honest, it is quite unlikely to watch Anna Paquin as Rogue once again.

Rogue Cameo or Whatever - Paquin Doesn't Mind!

But Anna doesn't want to give up hope! She desparately wants to play Rogue even if it's some minor role. She declared:

"I would come back and do whatever."

She claimed that she has "˜a lot of love' for her X-MEN FAMILY as she knows them for half of her life! She added:

"I realistically wouldn’t really care what it was if they were getting the whole gang back together kind of thing."

Well, she was first cast as Rogue when she was just SIXTEEN. So, such emotions for the character and X-Men family appear to be quite genuine.

She Defends Cutting Rogue from Days of Future Past!

The actress went on to clarify that she has had no issues with the director Bryan Singer over cutting out her scenes from X-Men: Days of Future Past. Here's what she said:

"I think other people were more offended by that. I’m like, ‘I don’t want to be in the plot line that doesn’t work!’"
