Affleck Wants a Graceful Exit

Initial social media reaction is calling Justice League a fun but flawed movie that appears to be the studio’s second step toward correcting the course of the shared universe. The comments on Twitter also indicate that Warner Bros. presented the heroes as the majority of fans want to see them: full of heroism and hope.

In addition, the Twitter critics say that all of the actors’ performances, along with the chemistry among the actors, serve to elevate the movie itself. So it appears that the DCEU’s future finally looks bright.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Easter egg (Warner Bros.)

During a recent interview with USA Today, Ben Affleck discussed his future as the Caped Crusader. When asked whether he would star in Matt Reeves’ reboot of the solo franchise, the actor said that he was contemplating it, but added:

You don't do it forever, so I want to find a graceful and cool way to segue out of it.

We’ve seen rumors of Affleck’s disenchantment since the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, leading fans to believe that he no longer wants to appear in DCEU flicks.

However, this latest interview indicates that the actor doesn’t plan to just ditch the shared universe. On the contrary, the actor showed interest in the future of his Batman, even if that means he’ll wear the cowl just one more time.

So who knows? If Justice League is a hit (and early reaction points that way), Affleck might sign another deal with the studio for more than just a Justice League sequel.

Wonder Woman and Batman (Warner Bros.)

We can’t wait until November 17, when Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, Cyborg, and Superman will finally make their first big screen appearance together.
