10 Avengers: Infinity War Moments We’re Excited About

The two Avengers: Infinity War movies (which will be renamed, as we found out recently) will be released in 2018 and 2019, respectively. They will be the culmination of everything that went before them in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and will see the heroes of the franchise going up against an Infinity Gauntlet-wielding Thanos.

The two movies are sure to feature some epic, emotional, tragic, and hilarious moments, and we absolutely can’t wait to see them! But which parts will really get us going?

In this article, we’re going to take a look at the moments in the movie that have the potential to be remembered for years to come and go down in cinematic history. Here are ten Avengers: Infinity War moments we’re particularly excited about.

The first Avengers: Infinity War movie will surely see Thanos bringing all six Infinity Stones together for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – and when that particular moment occurs, it will be extremely exciting.

It will signal the start of things getting truly crazy, as Thanos experiences a rush of power of a level greater than anything shown in any prior comic book movie.

The Mad Titan has been trying to collect the Infinity Stones since 2012’s The Avengers, so it will be the exciting culmination of six years’ worth of movies – and indeed the movies that came before it, if you wish to look at it like that.

Now for a moment that will need to happen, thanks to this year’s Captain America: Civil War.

After the devastating events of Captain America: Civil War – and indeed the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron – the Avengers are in disarray.

Thor and Hulk aren’t even on Earth any more, while the remaining Avengers are split down the middle, after coming to blows over their differing views on the Sokovia Accords and the way in which Bucky Barnes should be handled.

But Captain America told Tony Stark that he would be available if the latter needed him – and he’ll definitely be needed when Thanos attacks the Earth. The reuniting of the Avengers – including Hulk, Thor, and bunch of new characters – will be fantastic to see and a glorious moment in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Thanos won’t be working alone, so let’s move on to a point related to that.

Finding Out Who Thanos is Working With

Thanos doesn’t work alone. We know that from the comic books and we know that from the Marvel Cinematic Universe – he’s already had the likes of Loki, the Other, the Chitauri and Ronan doing his bidding for him without really making a major appearance himself to date.

With that in mind, it’s intriguing to wonder just who he’ll align himself with in the Avengers: Infinity War movies, and all kinds of ideas are being thrown around already.

Red Skull, Loki again, Mephisto, Hela and Mistress Death are just some of the characters who have been rumored to be working with the Mad Titan in the movies, but it remains to be seen which of them actually will be. The reveal will be thrilling, either way.

Regarding the Mad Titan himself, this next moment will be very exciting.

Thanos’ First Move

In the Infinity Gauntlet comic book arc, Thanos asserted himself in the most emphatic way possible when it came to showing what he was capable of with the six Infinity Gems – he wiped out half of the life in the universe.

That included making half of Earth’s population disappear – which, of course, included half of Earth’s superheroes – so it will be interesting to see if his opening move in the Avengers: Infinity War movies will be on the same scale.

With all six Infinity Stones at his disposal, he will be extremely powerful – perhaps not to the same extent as in the comic books, as the on-screen powers seem to be watered down somewhat – but if his opening gambit is even remotely as big as the one in the comic books, it will be awesome and devastating at the same time.

Now for a moment that everyone has been excited about since 2014.

The Avengers Meet The Guardians

The Avengers are, of course, the flagship team of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, but the Guardians of the Galaxy certainly rival them in terms of popularity – so to see the two teams meet will be a real treat for fans.

That meeting will, of course, occur in the Avengers: Infinity War movies, when the teams come together and join forces to combat the threat of Thanos as he wields the Infinity Gauntlet.

The potential interactions are great. How will Tony Stark react to Rocket Raccoon? Will Stark hit on Gamora? Will Spider-Man and Star-Lord have a witty back and forth or two? Could Hulk and Groot even communicate with each other at all? We’ll have to wait and see.

Let’s move on to a moment that we hope will happen, but actually might not.

The Potential for TV Characters on the Big Screen

Granted, we might be getting excited for nothing here, but the potential for seeing some of Marvel’s small screen characters appearing alongside the big screen stars is extremely mouthwatering!

Who wouldn’t want to see Spider-Man and Daredevil fighting alongside each other? What about Hawkeye and Mockingbird? Or all of the Defenders teaming with the Avengers? It would be incredible.

In fact, just a couple of seconds of screen time to show that the television characters are involved in the fight against Thanos and his forces would be all it took to send fans absolutely crazy!

This next point might seem negative, but it’s absolutely necessary.

The Major Death(s)

Is it morbid to be excited about this? Probably, but the fact is that it’s bound to happen in the Avengers: Infinity War movies and it’s definitely long overdue.

Marvel Studios have lacked the guts to truly kill any major heroic characters off to date – the likes of Thor, Iron Man, Nick Fury and Phil Coulson have all appeared to die, only to be revealed to be alive at a later time, and that has to change.

It will really put fans on the edge of their seats and make the Avengers: Infinity War movies more exciting when a major hero is killed off – hopefully early in the first movie, so we know just how powerful a threat Thanos is from the get-go.

Now for an epic one-on-one fight that will drive fans wild.

Hulk vs Thanos

Thanos is going to be facing off with a lot of heroes in the Avengers: Infinity War movies, but no confrontations will be more exciting than his inevitable clash with the Hulk.

Thanos is much more powerful than Hulk at his base level, so with the Infinity Gauntlet he will dwarf him in power, but for the purposes of keeping fans interested, Marvel Studios will make this fight awesome.

The Hulk will need to be angrier and stronger than ever before in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it will make for an awesome fight – and in the comics, although he is tougher than him, Thanos hates fighting Hulk due to how hard he is to permanently put down.

This list needs a glorious moment and this next entry is it.

Thanos Is Defeated

Of course, the most pleasing moment in the Avengers: Infinity War movies will be when the Mad Titan, Thanos, is finally defeated – no doubt after causing utter devastation first.

At this point, it’s really hard to imagine just how the heroes will manage to defeat him – even in their inevitably large numbers – when he’s wielding the completed Infinity Gauntlet, but however they do it, it will be glorious and memorable.

It probably won’t come through sheer power – the Avengers and their allies will have to be conniving, clever and, probably, very lucky – but it will be one of the most memorable moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date when the first true big-bad meets his demise.

Of course, not only things that we’re expecting will be exciting, so let’s move onto the final entry.

The Surprises

Arguably, the most exciting thing about the Avengers: Infinity War movies is the unknown – because almost anything could happen under the circumstances.

Thanos’ wielding of the Infinity Gauntlet could bring out all kinds of cosmic characters who will want to stop him and, at the same time, it could potentially bring all kinds of crazy actions because the six Infinity Stones combined could give the Mad Titan complete control over reality itself.

Surprise character appearances, insane feats of power and other unexpected things could happen in these movies – and that’s what makes them the most exciting comic book movies to date.

And that’s that! We hope you enjoyed this article, folks!
